Our goal is to provide quality adult interactions that nurture our children in being
their best selves physically, socially, and emotionally.
About Us
Save Our Children Project matches dedicated community members who want to make a difference with children who need extra support.
History
After years of witnessing negative media reports showing high drop-out rates in our schools, a lack of adequate youth services, and increasing youth violence, Founder, Clarence White, envisioned widespread positive change for Bay Area children.
With the support of other local visionaries, our Founder set out to create a program whose life-blood comes directly from community members contributing as volunteers. With a holistic Positive Engagement approach, the program seeks to offer a wide range of areas for children to receive adult guidance to increase their physical, social and emotional well being.
While we encourage adult volunteers of any age, we have a particular interest in seeing volunteer age 50 and above providing their skills and insights to our core population, children ages 6-13.
